Pxt Consulting, Principal and Founder

Ryan is the Principal and Founder of Pxt Consulting, to which he brings a diverse engineering and analysis background, coupled with an extensive knowledge of energy and its use in buildings. He provides practical, technically sound, in-context analysis, design and support to help Pxt clients achieve their building energy and performance goals.

Ryan's professional background includes water resources engineering, building energy/economic analysis and policy development, utility incentive program implementation, residential construction and maintenance, and building science-based research, audits and energy systems design.  He believes in innovative, practical efficiency strategies and a whole-building approach to evaluating and improving efficiency and performance.  His own homes have reflected and been molded in this interest of leveraging space-appropriate systems to optimize comfort and efficiency.  Ryan also followed a love of good music into stints as a college radio DJ and music/program director, as well as an attempt at infiltrating large, commercial radio.

Heralding from a small northern CA mountain town, San Francisco and the Bay Area have become his adopted, beloved home.  Outdoor time, urban and otherwise, is refreshing and vital to his well-being, as is cherished time spent with his amazing wife and two adorable kids.
